Grand View University Athletic Director Troy Plummer announced today that Kirk Trow has been hired as the Head Tennis Coach for the Vikings.

"I am very excited about the addition of Men and Women's Tennis at Grand View and the hiring of Kirk Trow as Head Coach. Kirk has been an extremely successful Head Boys and Assistant Girls High School Coach in Central Iowa for many years. His experience teaching tennis and his extensive ties to the Iowa tennis community are exactly what I was looking for in our first Head Coach. He has a true passion for student success and will do a great job of getting the program up and running, "said Plummer.

Grand View Director of Athletics Troy Plummer has announced the addition of Men's and Women's Tennis to the Vikings' athletic programs beginning in the fall of 2011. With the addition of tennis, Grand View now offers21 intercollegiate sports.

"Tennis is a very popular sport in central Iowa and we have had numerous inquiries as to the possibility of starting a tennis program at Grand View. There are a significant number of high school student athletes that participate in tennis and we are happy to provide them with the opportunity to continue their career collegiately," said Plummer.

The search is currently underway for a full time men's and women's tennis coach.
