The Viking men's and women's bowling teams competed at the Titan Invite in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, November 19-20. Both of the men's and women's team finished in the top 10 for the second straight tournament.

The GV women's varsity team finished with a total pin fall of 6786 over 30 individual games and 16 Baker games finishing fifth overall out of ten Varsity Teams.  Freshman Taylor Hance led the Vikings with a 191.2 average and was second overall and named to the All-Tournament Team.  Individual high games included: Taylor Hance 214, 202, 193, Megan Parrott 214, Katie Scott 188, 179.

The Grand View women's bowling team finished in the top 10 at the Wahawk Open in Madison, Wisconsin, last weekend. The ladies finished with a combined pin fall of 7655 (5093 pin / six team games, 2562 pins / 16 Baker games).  Top individual averages for GV included:  freshman Taylor Hance (180), junior Megan Parrott (175), and sophomore Carolyn LaRock (170). 

The men's bowling team also placed ninth overall at the Warhawk Open in Madison, Wis., last weekend.  The team finished with a combined pin fall of 8476 (5690 pins / six teams games, 2786 / 16 Baker games). 

Top individuals for the averages included: freshman Brett Besler (203), senior Andrew Weeks (197), and freshman Tyler Solum (195).

The Vikings next compete at the Titan Invite in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on November 19.

Taylor Hance (Creston, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent with the Grand View women's bowling program announced by head coach Gary Gioffredi.

Taylor is a four-year letter winner from Creston High School. She has been named to the all-conference bowling team and placed fourth in 2009 and third in 2011 at the state tournament.

Taylor is the daughter of Dennis and Angie Hance. She plans to study Biology and Chemistry at Grand View.

Theresa Macdonald has committed to the Grand View women's bowling program announced by head coach Gary Gioffredi.

Theresa is three-year letter winner from Dowling Catholic High School. Her list of honors include being the 2009 and 2011 CIML medalist, selected to 2010 and 2011 all-district teams, and she was a 2011 state qualifier. She posted a high game of 265, a high series of 398, and her final average was 161.

Theresa is the daughter of Allen and Deb Macdonald. She plans to study Mass Communication and Photography at Grand View.
Mon, Jan 31, 2011 - [Women's Bowling]
The Grand View Viking women's and men's bowling teams qualified into Sunday Bracket play for the first time time ever at the Lindenwood Lions/Shark Chameleon Classic in St. Charles, Missouri, over the weekend. The women scored 4776 and men 5029 after six games.

Highlights on Saturday included high individual averages from Jordan Duver, Katie Scott and Michelle Sadewasser with a high individual women's game of 212 from Katie Scott. On the men's side, high individual averages were from Jared Taylor, Kyle Coffman and Austin Denny. High individual men's games came from Austin Denny 203 and Jared Taylor 199.
