
The post-season awards continue to roll in for the Grand View women's volleyball team.
Today, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its women's volleyball All-America teams for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.
Following the annoucement of her NAIA First Team All-American honor on Monday, Grand View junior outside hitter Devon Jensen (Underwood, Iowa) was named to the AVCA All-America First Team. It is Jensen's third AVCA All-American honor; she was named the Third Team in 2010 and the Honorable Mention Team in 2009.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2011 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball All-America Teams, as selected by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee.
Grand View junior outside hitter Devon Jensen (Underwood, Iowa) was selected to the NAIA All-America First Team. It is Jensen's third All-American honor; she was named to the Third Team in 2010 and the Honorable Mention Team in 2009. She becomes the first volleyball player in the program's history to earn First Team All-American honors.

Two members of the Grand View volleyball team have received America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Midwest All-Region honors and Head Coach Tina Carter has been named the AVCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year.
Junior outside hitter Devon Jensen (Underwood, Iowa) was one of just fourteen players in the Midwest Region selected to the AVCA First Team. It is Jensen's third straight AVCA All-Region honor.
Freshman outside hitter Kadie Subbert (Stanton, Iowa) was deemed the AVCA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year.

The Vikings wrapped up their NAIA National Championship appearance last night in Sioux City, after falling to No. 18 Taylor (IN).
No. 22 Grand View pushed No. 6 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) to the limit in round one of pool play on Tuesday. The Vikings were close to pulling off the upset before losing in the final match, to the Cougars, 25-27, 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 15-6. NAIA's kills leader Devon Jensen notched a match-high 24 kills for Grand View. Jessica Garland finished with 24 assists and Amber Boevers had 24 digs.
Day two of pool play the Vikings met No. 7 Rocky Mountain (MT). The Battlin' Bears came off a sweep against No. 18 Taylor and their momentum kept rolling. The Vikings were not able to stop the Battlin' Bears and lost in three, 26-28, 17-25, 13-25. Jensen led the Vikings 17 kills and added 8 digs. Paige Harris dished out 23 assists and Boevers dug for 25 total digs.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the pool assignments and schedule for the 32nd Annual NAIA Volleyball National Championship presented by CNOS Foundation. The Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena in Sioux City, Iowa, will serve as the final site for the event Nov. 29 - Dec. 3.
The No. 22 Grand View Vikings will play in Pool "F" beginning play on Tuesday, Nov. 29, against Azusa Pacific (Calif.) at 8:30 p.m. The Vikings will face Rocky Mountain (Mont.) on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m., and Taylor (Ind.) on Thursday Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. Complete Pool Play Schedule.
The final 24 teams have been placed into six pools and will play a round robin pool schedule Nov. 29 - Dec. 1, with the top-two teams from each pool advancing to the single elimination bracket starting Dec. 2. The championship match will take be held at 8 p.m. CST on Dec. 3.
