Stacie Horton is in her seventh season as the head coach of the Competitive Dance team. Horton, a Grand View graduate with a mass communications degree, was a member of the University of Iowa pom-pon squad and has coached the Iowa Barnstormers' dance team. This year's team will be performing at selected men and women's basketball games and several competitions throughout the year. The squad will be participating in the Iowa State Fair parade and Central College Dance Show. Horton has involved the dance squad with the local community, participating in "Read With Me" program at Phillips Traditional Elementary School and the "Art Town Day" at Waukee Elementary School as well as hosting a dance clinic for 5th-6th grade girls in February.

Horton resides in Altoona with her husband Joe, and their three sons Davis, Cole, and Jack.
