Head Coach - 12th Season
Head coach Ventsi Stoimirov enters his twelfth season as head coach for the Vikings. He was a member of the Bulgarian Junior National Team, and started six seasons for the Des Moines Menace, leading the team to two final four appearances. Stoimirov has extensive playing and coaching experience, earning his International FIFA/UEFA Coaching License. He also held a 50-4-2 record as the coach for the Iowa United Soccer Club, leading the team to five State Championships. In addition, Stoimirov has helped youth teams in Iowa win championships at prestigious tournaments all around the country including championships at the Snickers National Youth Challenge, WAGS, Surf Cup and Cornhusker Classic.

The founder of the Grand View Women's Soccer Team in 1998, Stoimirov has built a program that is known for its successes on and off the field. In 2003, Vikings rocketed to the top of the Midwest Collegiate Conference, earning their first MCC title. The 2003 and 2004 MCC Coach of the Year and 2003 Region Coach of the Year has coached 69 MCC All-Conference athletes, 3 MCC Players of the Year, 77 MCC Academic All-Conference athletes, 11 NAIA Academic All-Region athletes, one Region Player of the Year, 19 NAIA All-Region athletes,  12 NAIA Academic All-Americans, and 12 NAIA All-Americans.

Stoimirov graduated from Graceland College in 1995, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. He received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Iowa State University in 1998.
Joel Comito
Assistant Coach

Comito is in his fourth season as assistant coach for the Vikings. In 2005, Comito returned tothe Grand View Women's Soccer program after taking two seasons off from college coaching to run professionally for the Saint Louis Track Club on the USA Running Circuit. He assisted the Grand View Women's soccer program in 2002, helping the team advance to the conference finals, finishing the season with a 10-7-4 record.

Comito has an extensive background in soccer as both an athlete and a coach, holding an overall coaching record of 221-125-35. He was a five-year letter winner at Dallas Center-Grimes High School, leading the Mustangs to four summer soccer state tournaments. Comito coached six seasons of high school soccer (1999 Des Moines North, 2000-2001 ADM, 2002-2004 Indianola). He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in law, politics, and society (pre-law) with minors in history and political science, and a Bachelor of Science of Education degree from Drake University in 2002, where he ran cross country and track for the Bulldogs. He holds a high school coaching license, a USSF "D" National Coaching License, and a level one goalkeeping license.

Rob Chapman has been the West Des Moines Valley High School girl's head soccer coach for the past 14 years where he has compiled a record of 245-17. The Tigers won five state championships, ten CIML championships, and made 11 state tournament appearances under Chapman. He is a six-time CIML coach of the year, four-time Iowa Coach of the Year, and two-time Midwest Coach of the Year. Chapman was named the NHSCA National Coach of the Year in 2008 and was a finalist in 2004.

Chapman is an elementary physical education teacher in the West Des Moines school district. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Education degree from Viterbo University.
