Lou A. Yacinich - Head Coach - 8th Season
Coach Yacinich begins his eighth season as the softball coach at Grand View University. Yacinich led the Vikings to their first national tournament appearance in 2006. He is an alumnus of Grand View and played baseball from 1981-1985.

Yacinich's coaching experiences include serving as head softball coach at Urbandale High School in 2001 and 2002. In 2002, the team advanced to the State Tournament in which it placed sixth. Yacinich Jr. also served as an assistant at Valley High School in 1997and 1998. He is currently the co-head softball coach at Waukee High School and led the team a second place finish in the 2009 state tournament. Other accomplishments include his induction into the Iowa Amateur Softball Association Men's Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame in 2000 after playing in the major-open level from 1986-1996.

Coach Willer enters her first season with the Grand View softball program but is no stranger to Viking Athletics. Willer was an All-Conference and All-Region infielder for Grand View as well as an NAIA All-America Scholar Athlete from 2006-07. Willer transferred to Grand View from Kirkwood Community College in 2004 where she was a National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region-First Team and NJCAA Academic All-Region Second Team infielder. After graduating from Grand View, Willer was an assistant softball coach at the University of Northern Iowa (2007-08) and an assistant coach at Linn-Mar High School (2007-2009). Willer earned her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Health in 2009 from the University of Northern Iowa and is now working as a substitute teacher for the West Des Moines, Des Moines, and Johnston school districts.
