
Blair Reid will be entering his 24th season as men's head soccer coach at Grand View College. His extensive coaching experience includes serving as head coach with the USL Des Moines Menace from 1994-1997. In 1995, he was voted the PDL Coach of the Year. From 1985-1993, Reid split his coaching duties between Grand View and Dowling High School. At Dowling, Reid was the head coach for nine seasons, guiding the Maroons to a record of 125-25-12. Reid was instrumental in getting soccer in Iowa as a state sanctioned high school sport and, in 2001, he was inducted into the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame.
At Grand View, Reid has coached the Vikings to ten MCC championships (1991, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), one district championship (2003), and five national tournament appearances (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). He has been named MCC Coach of the Year six times (1991, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005) and NAIA District 15 coach of the year eight times, and Region VII Coach of the three times (2002, 2003, 2005). Reid has coached 13 NAIA Academic All-Americans, 29 NAIA All-Americans, 37 NAIA All-Region, and numerous All-Conference and All-District players while at Grand View. A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Reid graduated from State University of New York at Brockport in 1975.
