Head Coach - 6th Season
An accomplished player and teacher, Winkel brings an impressive background to the Vikings program. A PGA professional for 12 years, he was named Iowa's PGA "Player of the Year" in both 1999 and 2003, is a three-time Iowa PGA section champion, and has competed in three PGA tour events. Winkel, the owner and operator of Impact Golf Services at Briarwood Golf Club in Ankeny, Iowa, has devoted the past five years exclusively to expanding the game of golf through his many golf enterprises. Through Impact Golf Services, Winkel instructs over a thousand golfers annually through individual golf lessons, junior golf programs and corporate golf schools. His efforts have earned him Iowa PGA "Teacher of the Year" honors in 2001 as well as named one of Iowa's "Best Teachers" 2003.

Winkel was named the MCC Men's Golf Coach of the Year and led the team to the national championships in 2003.

Chris resides in Ankeny with his wife Cindy, and their sons C.J, Jack, and Luke

Assistant Coach - 2nd Season

Lisa Meshke, a former standout golfer at Iowa State University, is in her first season as assistant coach for the Vikings.

Meshke was a member of the Iowa State women's golf team from 2000 to 2005. She finished her career at Iowa State with the second best career average in school history and two of the top 5 season averages, including a 76.9 average in her senior season. She won the 2004 Lady Razorback Invitational, breaking the school record with a three day score of 215.

Meshke has qualified for 7 USGA events in her career, including two USGA Publinks and two USGA US Women's Amateurs. Her best finish was the Round of 32 at the 2004 USGA Women's Amateur Publinks. In addition, she is a two time runner up at the Iowa Women's State Amateur.

Meshke earned her bachelor's degree in Finance in 2004 and her Master of Business Administration in 2006, both from Iowa State University.
