Lou A. Yacinich - Head Coach
Coach Yacinich begins his seventh season as the softball coach at Grand View University. Yacinich led the Vikings to their first national tournament appearance in 2006. He is an alumnus of Grand View College and played baseball from 1981-1985. Yacinich's coaching experiences include serving as head softball coach at Urbandale High School in 2001 and 2002. In 2002, the team advanced to the State Tournament in which it placed sixth. Yacinich Jr. also served as an assistant at Valley High School in 1997and 1998. Other accomplishments include his induction into the Iowa Amateur Softball Association Men's Fastpitch Softball Hall of Fame in 2000 after playing in the major-open level from 1986-1996.

Jeff Cupp - Assistant Coach
Jeff Cupp brings a wealth of knowledge and coaching success to the Grand View program into his third year with the Vikings. From 1989-1999, he was the head softball coach at Woodward-Granger, where he compiled a record of 415-73. Cupp's teams made 10 consecutive state tournament appearances, with seven top four and four runner-up finishes. In 1998, Woodward-Granger was the Class 1-A State Champion. Cupp was named Iowa Girls Coaches Association District Coach of the Year three times and was a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches National Coach of the Year in 2000. In 2004, Cupp was inducted into the IGCA Softball Coaches Hall of Fame.
 
Cupp resides in Polk City with his wife, Barb, and their daughters, Ashley and Alicia. He is an agent with Cupp Insurance.
