Blair Reid - Head Coach

Blair Reid will be entering his 24th season as men's head soccer coach at Grand View College. His extensive coaching experience includes serving as head coach with the USL Des Moines Menace from 1994-1997. In 1995, he was voted the PDL Coach of the Year. From 1985-1993, Reid split his coaching duties between Grand View and Dowling High School. At Dowling, Reid was the head coach for nine seasons, guiding the Maroons to a record of 125-25-12. Reid was instrumental in getting soccer in Iowa as a state sanctioned high school sport and, in 2001, he was inducted into the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame.

At Grand View, Reid has coached the Vikings to ten MCC championships (1991, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), one district championship (2003), and five national tournament appearances (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). He has been named MCC Coach of the Year six times (1991, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005) and NAIA District 15 coach of the year eight times, and Region VII Coach of the three times (2002, 2003, 2005). Reid has coached 13 NAIA Academic All-Americans, 29 NAIA All-Americans, 37 NAIA All-Region, and numerous All-Conference and All-District players while at Grand View. A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Reid graduated from State University of New York at Brockport in 1975.

Casey Mann - Assistant Coach
Coach Mann begins his fifth season the Vikings. A member of the men's Grand View soccer team from 1992-96, Mann was an NAIA All-American goalkeeper for the Vikings. After Grand View, he played for the Des Moines Menace PDL team, where he helped the team reach two Final Fours and two Top 10 finishes. Mann's coaching experience includes assisting at Arizona, Arizona State and Drake. He has been involved with the Arizona Olympic Development Program and was a member of the Region IV Goalkeeper staff for 2 years. Mann was the head coach at Dowling High School for two years; leading the girls' varsity team to two consecutive state appearances. Mann just completed his fourth year as head coach for the Des Moines Menace and is the Director of Coaching and Technical Director for the Menace. Mann led the Menace to a Premier Development League national title in his first season, and in 2006 the Menace made it to the third round of the U.S. Open Cup. Mann is also a USSF "A" licensed coach.
 
Mann and his wife Tawnya have three children, Keagan (5), McKenna (4), and Kellen (6 mos.)

Ross Moffat Image
Ross Moffat - Assistant Coach
Former Viking standout Moffat returns to Grand View for his third season as assistant coach. Team captain Moffat was a four-time all-conference, all-region, and all-American midfielder for the Vikings from 2002-05. Coach Moffat led Grand View to three consecutive national tournament appearances and was a two-time academic all-American. Moffat has spent three seasons with the PDL Des Moines Menace, helping the team to the PDL Championship in 2005.
 
Moffat will complete his Master's degree in Counseling from Drake University this semester and continues to coach youth soccer for the Johnston-Urbandale Soccer Club (JUSC).

Neil Olson - Assistant Coach
Neil Olson enters his ninth season with the Vikings. He has been employed in the Grand View IT department since 1996.
 
Olson was an All-Conference player for Coach Reid from 1992-95. He has been a part of seven Grand View men's soccer MCC Championships; one as a player and six as a coach.
 
Olson and his wife Cynthia have two children, Ella (4), and Avery (3).
   

Dan Rodriguez Image
Dan Rodriguez - Assistant Coach
Dan Rodriguez begins his second year as assistant  goalkeeper coach for the Vikings. Rodriguez played under Coach Reid for two seasons.
 
Rodriguez is also the boys assistant coach and goalkeeper coach at Dowling Catholic High School. The Maroons were State Champs in 2008. He also served as a goalkeeper coach for the Des Moines Menace Soccer Academy in 2008.
 
Rodriguez is a 2003 Hoover High Schhol graduate where he played soccer for the Huskies.
