Peterson's media guide placed fourth in the nation and was the top women's basketball media guide in District VII. This was the first time Peterson has earned a national top-five finish for one of his media guides, with previous efforts in women's tennis (2005) and track and field (2006) finishing among the top-15.

The former three-time Academic All-Midwest Classic Conference selection and 2000 Academic All-Region VII recipient will enter his seventh season as an assistant athletic communications director at Kansas State and his fourth with the K-State women's basketball program.
