Aaron Ahrendsen had lowest score of day for GV with a 70
The Grand View men's golf team jumped from 16th place to fifth place in the team standings today after a phenomenal day at the NAIA Championships in Silvis, Ill. The Vikings shot a 291, the lowest score of the day and matched the lowest score shot by any team at the tournament. Third place Oklahoma Christian University also shot a 291 Tuesday for the lead after the first round of the championships.

Sophomore Josh Manske (Algona, Iowa) shot a 72 today and is in a four-way tie for fourth place with 219. Junior Rick Fee (Phoenix, Ariz.), shot his best round yet with a 71 and is in a three-way tie for 12th place (222). Freshman Aaron Ahrendsen (Manning, Iowa) had the best round of all GV golfers today with a 70 and is in a six-way tie for 23rd place (225).

Sophomore Yousaf Khan (Surrey, England) had his best round of the tourney with a 78 and senior Graeme Molloy (Glasgow, Scotland) matched his score from Wednesday with an 80.
