Rick Fee led the Vikings with a 74 in round two

The Vikings men's golf team is currently placed sixteenth after two rounds of the NAIA Men's Golf Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. Grand View began the second round in sixth place, but after 18 holes on Wednesday they fell out of the top ten.


South Carolina-Beaufront began the day trailing Oklahoma Christian University and Oklahoma City University. However, South Carolina-Beaufront put together a second day team score of 294 to move into a second place tie with Oklahoma Christian, Oklahoma City and Malone College. All four of these teams are tied with a two-round team total of 592.

Currently in sixth place is Victoria (597), while there is a three-way tie for seventh place between Holy Names Universtiy, University of The Cumberlands and Indiana Wesleyan (598). Completing the top ten is Texas Wesleyan University who trails the seventh place teams by one stroke (599).

Rick Fee was the Vikings individual leader on Wednesday with a second round score 74. Josh Manske, who is currently 21st on the individual leader board, scored a 78. Graeme Molloy shot a round of 80, while Aaron Ahrendsen and Yousaf Khan both ended the second day with rounds of 81.


The third round continues Thursday as teams tee off at 7 a.m.. The 2010 NAIA National Championships are being hosted by St. Ambrose University (Iowa) and the Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau.
