Grand View's Marc Mericle, who has led the Vikings to the Midwest Collegiate Conference Baseball Tournament title game, has been honored as the final MCC Baseball Player of the Week. The announcement came from the league on Monday.

Mericle helped lead the Vikings to a 2-0 record over the weekend at the MCC Tournament in Waterloo. In the two victories, Mericle hit .364 with a double, triple and home run and scored five times.

Grand View will play in the title game of the MCC Tournament Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
