The Viking men captured the Viking Classic at the Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes Iowa. The Vikings fired a day one total of 296 to lead Iowa State University individual team by one stroke and Iowa Western Community College by three. But an impressive five under par team score of 283 on day two extended the Vikings margin for an 11 shot victory. Grand View Sophomore Yousaf Khan led the way for the Vikings with a team low, one under par total with rounds of 74 -69. He was joined on the All-Tournament team by Senior Graeme Molloy with rounds of 73-72.
Grand View had many standout performances specifically on day two of the tournament. Justin Livingston shot a low second day score of 69. This was Justin's first action on the Viking's first team. He finished with a two day total of 146 to finish in 6th place individually out of 66 players. Ben Kern making a comeback after off-season knee surgery posted 75-71 to finish 6th as well. The Grand View golf program continues to show its depth as its second team place two strokes out of second place.
