The final day of the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up today in Johnson City, Tennessee. Two athletes represented the Vikings today, both with remarkable performances.

Sophomore standout Obsie Birru (Des Moines, Iowa) took second place and became an All-American in the women's 5,000m Run in a time of 17:27.52 just behind winner Lauren Jimison of Azusa Pacific (17:15.13).

The Grand View women's team finished with 13 points for 14^th place in the team standings.

Sophomore Tyler Wells (Des Moines, Iowa) set a new school record in the Shot Put with an 11^th place toss of 15.44m (50' 8").
