Day two of the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships has come to an end, and what it day it was for the Grand View track & field teams. The Vikings ended the day with three athletes earning All-American status.

Senior Steven Hughes (Grimes, Iowa) was the first to become an All-American for Grand View today. Hughes completed the final three events in the Heptathlon and placed 6^th in the 60m Hurdles (9.05), 4^th in the Pole Vault (3.25m), and 13^th in the 1,000m Run (3:02.20). He finished in fifth place overall with 4,652 total points.

Two Viking throwers were also deemed All-Americans today in the women's Weight Throw. Sophomore Lauryn Camp (Preston, Iowa) and junior Chelsea Maas (Tucson, Ariz.) placed fourth and sixth respectively, Camp with a toss of 16.6m and Maas a throw of 16.33m.

Competition resumes tomorrow at Noon. Tyler Wells competes Saturday in the Shot Put and Obsie Birru in the 5,000m Run.
