The Grand View women's basketball team moved up one spot and is No. 17 in the the final NAIA Divisions II Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the season. It is the second highest ranking of the season for the Viking women; they were the No. 16 team in November.

Grand View continues to rank in 17 national statistical categories, nine in the top 20 in the NAIA. Notables are No. 4 in defense field goal percentage (34.9%), No. 8 in field goal percentage (44.4%), No.9 in total blocks (139), and No. 11 in blocks per game (4.633). Several players rank nationally in individual stats. Among them is Micah Reed (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) who is No. 13 in the NAIA in total assists (136) and Jennifer Jorgensen (Dayton, Iowa) is No. 15 in the NAIA in defensive rebounds per game (6.933 rpg).

The Vikings (23-7) are the No. 2 seed in the MCC Tournament that starts on Thursday. Grand View hosts No. 7 Clarke College (6-24) at 7 p.m. The Vikings defeated twice in conference play this season, including an 88-51 win on February 13.
