The Grand View men's basketball team made its eight straight appearance in the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll announced Monday. The Vikings moved up one spot and are rated as the No. 16 team in this week's poll.
As a team, Grand View is rated in fourteen stat categories. Among them, scoring defense per game (5th - 63.23), turnover margin (10th - 3.46), free throw percentage (10th - 73.4%), assist/turnover ratio (12th - 1.15), and field goal percentage defense (14th - 40.3%).
Senior Grant Burns (Monroe, Iowa) is 2nd in the NAIA in both total assists (167) and assists per game (6.42). Burns is also 8th in total steals (66) and 16th in steals per game (2.53). Senior Greg Schulz (Carroll, Iowa) is 8th in the NAIA in three-point field goals made (75).
