For the third time this season, freshman guard Jennifer Jorgensen (Dayton, Iowa) has been named the MCC Player of the Week fro women's basketball announced today. She also received the honor twice in November.
Jorgensen averaged 21 points, eight rebounds and 4.3 assists per game as the Vikings went 3-0 last week. She shot 48.7% from the field and 75.9% from the free throw line.
Jorgensen is among leaders in nearly every statistical category in conference play - scoring (4th - 16.9 ppg), rebounds (8.5 rpg), field goal percentage (7th - 46%), assists (13th - 2.45 apg), free throw percentage (72.6%), teals (10th - 1.91 spg), blocks (5th - 1.0 bpg). She has averaged 32 minutes per game in conference play.
The No. 21 Vikings travel to Forest City to face Wald orf in MCC action. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
