Carly O'Keefe (Des Moines, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent with the Grand View women's soccer program announced by head coach Ventsi Stoimirov.

Carly is three-year letterwinning midfielder/defender from Johnston High School.

"I am delighted that Carly has decided to join our team next fall. She is the type of player every team needs and, after attending our soccer camp for three years, I am very comfortable with the type of person we are getting. Carly is competitive, loves tackling and winning the ball, and enjoys neutralizing the offensive runs of opposing teams. She is fully capable of making strong runs forward and has the ability to score spectacular and often key goals from her defensive position. Carly comes from a very strong club (JUSC) and High School (Johnston) teams and has been very well coached over the years. Given her personality and background I expect her to make a fast transition to college soccer," said Stoimirov.

Carly is the daughter of Brian and Wendy O'Keefe of Des Moines. She plans to study Education at Grand View.
