Two Grand View track & field athletes have been awarded Midwest Collegiate Conference weekly honors.

Senior Jordan Adams (Lamont, Iowa) was selected as the MCC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the UNI Panther Open on Saturday. Adams qualified for the NAIA Indoor Championships with a first place "A" standard toss in the Weight Throw of 16.75m (55').

Sophomore Obsie Birru (Des Moines, Iowa) was voted as the MCC Women's Track Athlete of the Week. At the UNI Panther Open, Birru qualified for the National Championships in two events. Birru placed second in the 3000m Run with an "A" standard qualifying time of 10:25.56. Birru was also third in the 1000m Run with a "B" standard qualifying time of 3:04.62 and second in the Mile Run with a time of 5:17.53.
