The Viking wrestling team took a select few to compete at the Central College today in Pella.

Ty Knowler (Altoona, Iowa) pinned William Penn's Chris Diaz in 2:25 followed by a 7-5 decision over St. Olaf's Josef Waples. Knowler then pinned Augustana's Tyler Dempsey in 2:20 in the semis and received a forfeit for the championship at 165 lbs.

Jordaryl Logan (Detroit, Mich.) pinned William Penn's Jesse Buchanan in 3:33 and won an 11-0 major decision over Augustana's Matt Nykaza for the 184 lb. championship.

Next up the Viking wrestlers travel to Estherville next Saturday, Jan. 23, to compete at the Laker Open. The meet starts at 9 a.m.
