The No. 6 Grand View wrestling team had no trouble with visiting William Penn (RV) at Sisam Arena tonight in Des Moines. The Vikings won its first home meet of the season in commanding fashion, defeating the Statesmen 45-7.
 
GV's Tyler Wilson was edged out 5-4 by Ryan Groom in the opening match-up at 285 lbs. Johnny Coleman was next downed 13-4 at 125 lbs. by Penn's Matt Chustz. The Vikings did not lose another match tonight with four wins and four forfeits.
 
Travis Evans dominated at 133 lbs. with a technical fall (18-2) over David Crow. Nick Coffman followed with a 12-4 major decision over Dustin Howa at 141 lbs.
 
At 149 lbs, Adam Kurimski quickly pinned Alfredo Velazquez in 1:19. Ty Knowler followed with another fall over Chris Diaz at 165 lbs.
 
Trae Reed (157), Kyle Campbell (174), Jordaryl Logan (184) and Justin Rau (197) all won by forfeit.

The Vikings are back at home on Friday with a dual against No. 7 Missouri Valley College at 7 p.m.
