The Grand View men's basketball team were defeated on the road 77-61 at Dordt College in Sioux Center. The Defenders made a late run in the second half to pull away from the Vikings. The Vikings did not help themselves with cold shooting from the outside in second half, finishing 2-10 from the three-point line in the second half.

Grand View built an early six point lead early in the second half, but were not able to build on the early momentum. The Defenders were able to get points in transition and converted a big three-point play that proved to give Dordt College the momentum they needed to get the win.

The Vikings were led by Kevin Smith's 14 points on 6 of 10 shooting. Senior Corey Viet finished with 10 points and 3 rebounds. Senior Greg Schulz was 3 of 5 from deep and ended up with 11 points, while Joey Terpstra contributed 11 points off the bench. Senior guards Matt Banzhaf and Grant Burns grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.

The Vikings (4-2) will be on the road against #12 Bellevue University Friday at the Midland Lutheran Tournament.
