The Viking men's golf team finished a very successful fall campaign with a 7th place finish in the NAIA Fall Preview hosted by St Ambrose University. The event brought together some of the top teams from around the country. Nine of the 16 team field was ranked inside the top 25.

Tournament scores were a bit on the high side as the temperatures failed to reach the 50 degree mark during the event. The Vikings opened up with a team score of 302 putting them in sixth place 10 shots behind leading Texas Wesleyan. The team followed that up with a 306 on day two to finish in 7th place. Second ranked and past National Champion Oklahoma City won the event with a 594.

Josh Manske continued his successful season with a 3rd place finish shooting 73-72=145. In the four events this fall Manske has two tournament wins, a third place finish and a sixth place finish. His individual record is 342 and 5.

"We had a very good fall season and gained some national exposure for our program. The team really performed well and has lofty expectations for the spring," said Coach Winkel.
