Grand View senior defender Trevor Cushman (Burlington, Iowa) has been selected as the Midwest Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week for men's soccer announced Monday.
 
Last week, Cushman anchored the Vikings to a 2-0 record in league play. He made several key blocks in contests against St. Ambrose and Mount Mercy as Grand View remained atop the MCC standings at 6-0-1 and improved its overall record to 10-4-1.

The Vikings host Park University in non-conference action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before traveling to La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Saturday for the last MCC match-up of the regular season against Viterbo. Game time is 1p.m.
