Jonny MacAdam - 1 goal 1 assist
The Viking men's soccer moved into first place in the MCC standings with a 3-0 win over St. Ambrose today in Davenport.
 
Grand View scored two goals in the first half of the contest. Jonny MacAdam (Glasgow, Scotland) scored GV's winning goal in the 26th minute. Soon after, MacAdam assisted a goal by Armin Mujdzic (Des Moines, Iowa) in the 39th minute to out the Vikings up 2-0 at the half.
 
The Vikings'  final goal came in the 69th minute by Ryan Adamson (Dumfries, Scotland) assisted by Mujdzic.
 
Grand View outshot St. Ambrose 18-8 and 11-4 in shots on goal. Keeper Darren Martin (Dumfries, Scotland) made four saves in the shutout.
 
The Vikings improve to 9-4-1 overall and 5-0-1 in the MCC. Grand View next travels to Cedar Rapids on Saturday to face Mount Mercy in MCC play. Game time is 3 p.m.
