Mantilla carded a 73 (+1) to finish in a tie for 2nd-Place.

Valley, Nebraska – The Viking women's golf team traveled to the Pines Country Club on October 2nd to compete in the Bellevue University Fall Invite. The two-day event was shortened due to inclement weather and finished after the first round. Maria Mantilla (SR/Bogota, Colombia) led the Vikings by completing the day tied for 2nd-place. 

Mantilla carded an impressive 1-over 72 in her one and only round. She finished one stroke behind the champion, Cassidy Evreniadis of Iowa Western Community College. Mantilla has finished in the top-5 in every tournament in this fall season, including a win at the Graceland Invitational.

The field was composed of some of a mixture of NAIA, NCAA Division II, and NJCCA teams. Morningside College of Sioux City, Iowa won the event. William Penn University was the only other Heart of America team in attendance. Full results can be seen below.
