The No. 13 Grand View women's volleyball team headed into Saturday's afternoon match against Missouri Valley sitting on top of the Heart North with a 9-0 conference record. No. 21 Missouri Valley also entered the match with a perfect league record (8-0) and were leading the South Heart division.

Despite the buildup of the much anticipated game, the Vikings of Grand View were able to sweep the Vikings of Missouri Valley 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-19) on the opponents court.

Junior Kelsey Redmond (Iowa Falls, Iowa) and senior Erin Wenzel (Clinton, Iowa) led the team with 10 kills each. Redmond also had a team high 14 digs. Sophomore Trystin Luneckas (West Branch, Iowa) had 23 assists and six kills in the win while junior Jordyn Rittman (Ankeny, Iowa) also had double-digit digs with 13. The Vikings tallied 10 blocks as a team.

Grand View (16-6, 10-0) take their eight game win streak to Graceland (9-10, 3-6) on Tuesday (Oct 3) to take on the Yellow Jackets. The two teams last faced each other on September 29 when the Vikings swept 3-0. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. in Lamoni, Iowa.
