Peru, Neb. - The Grand View women's volleyball team continues to stay perfect in the Heart of America as they took down Peru State 3-1 (28-26, 25-16, 17-25, 25-23)Tuesday (Sept 26) evening.

The Vikings, who won their sixth straight game, were led offensively by juniors Kelsey Redmond (Iowa Falls, Iowa) and Courtney Twit (West Des Moines, Iowa) with 12 kills each. Senior Erin Wenzel chipped in nine kills. Trystin Luneckas (West Branch, Iowa) had a team-high 37 assists while juniors Jordyn Rittman (Ankeny, Iowa) and Meagan Miller (Floyd, Iowa) stepped up defensively with 25 digs each. Redmond tallied 13 digs in the win and the Vikings had eight total team blocks.

No. 13 Grand View (14-6, 8-0) continues Heart play on Friday (Sept 29) when they travel south to take on Central Methodist (7-7, 4-2) and southern division leader No. 21 Missouri Valley (19-2, 7-0). Game time on Friday is 7 p.m. while the battle of the Vikings will be on Saturday (Sept 30) at 2 p.m.
