Des Moines, Iowa - The No. 13 Grand View women's volleyball team kept their winning streak alive Thursday (Sept 21) evening as they took down Benedictine 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-12, 25-23).

The Vikings won their fourth straight behind some aggressive offense and solid defense. Senior Erin Wenzel (SR/Clinton, IA) (Clinton, Iowa) had a team high 14 kills while juniors Kelsey Redmond (JR/Iowa Falls, IA) (Iowa Falls, Iowa) and Courtney Twit (JR/West Des Moines, IA) (West Des Moines, Iowa) each had 13. Defensively, Grand View as led by junior Jordyn Rittman (JR/Ankeny, IA) with 21 digs. Redmond added 15 and junior Meagan Miller (JR/Floyd, IA) (Floyd, Iowa) tallied 10 digs. Sophomore setter Trystin Luneckas (SO/West Branch, IA) (West Branch, Iowa) continued to be consistent with 47 assists and the Viking racked up 11 team blocks in the win.

Grand View (12-6, 6-0) wraps up the final game in their home stand on Saturday (Sept 23) when they host (RV) MidAmerica Nazarene. Game time is set for 4 p.m. in Charles S. Johnson Wellness Center.
