Oskaloosa, Iowa - The No. 12 Grand View women's volleyball team returned to Heart Conference play Tuesday (Sept 12) evening as they traveled to Oskaloosa, Iowa to take on William Penn. The Vikings were able to control the entire game sweeping the Statesmen 3-0 (25-12, 26-24, 25-12). The Vikings move to a 3-0 conference record and

The Vikings had two players with double digit kills including junior Kelsey Redmond (Iowa Falls, Iowa) with 11 and senior Erin Wenzel (Clinton, Iowa) with 10. Junior Courtney Twit (West Des Moines, Iowa) also chipped in eight kills. Sophomore setter Trystin Luneckas (West Branch, Iowa) tallied 37 assists in the win. Defensively, junior Jordyn Rittman (Ankeny, Iowa) had a team-high 16 digs while Redmond added nine. Grand View had a .330 hitting percentage while holding William Penn to just .029 and had eight-team blocks.

No. 12 Grand View (9-6, 3-0) will host two Heart games this weekend starting with Clarke (12-2, 3-0) on Friday (Sept 15) at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Vikings face Mount Mercy (5-6, 0-2) at 2 p.m. Both games will be played in the Charles S. Johnson Wellness Center.
