Bellevue, Neb. – The Grand View women's soccer team fell to Bellevue University 2-1 at Bellevue Soccer Club to move to a 3-3 record on the season.

Bellevue capitalized early to take a 1-0 within the first ten minutes of play. BU intercepted a goal kick at the top of the box and fired at the keeper from distance. Grand View defense held tight to enter half trailing 1-0, despite being outshot 9-2 in the first half.

The game remained 1-0 until the 61st minute when freshmen Haley Waseskuk scored her first career goal as a Viking to even out the score 1-1. She stole possession from a BU defender and beat the keeper over the top from 20 yards out.

The game winning goal came in the 81st minute when BU's Mastromonaco she found herself one-on-one with Caitlyn Dayton, beating her to the far side.

Bellevue out-shot Grand View 17-5 (7-3 on goal). The Vikings conceded nine corner kicks without earning one themselves.

Grand View will begin conference play September 17 against Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Kickoff is set for 5 pm.
