Des Moines, Iowa - Grand View fell to (RV) Cardinal Stritch 3-0 in a NAIA match-up Saturday at James Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines.

The Vikings came out looking strong, connecting passes well until the Wolves were able to find the goal in the 14th minute of play. Cardinal Stritch was able to put two more away leading 3-0 at the end of the first half.

Grand View showed well in the second half and created several attempts in their attacking half but was unable to put themselves on the scoreboard. The Vikings were outshot 14-9. Karianna King lead the Vikings with two shots on goal. Caitlyn Dayton started the game for the Vikings in goal, recording two saves and Celenka Hommell finished for the Vikings with three saves.

The Vikings will play again Wednesday, September 6 in Indianola, Iowa facing Simpson College at 5 p.m.
