Des Moines, Iowa - The No. 10 Grand View women's volleyball team began Heart of America Conference play Tuesday (Aug 29) evening on their home court with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-11) sweep over Graceland.

The Vikings, who controlled the game from the beginning, jumped out to a dominant start in game one and never looked back as they sailed through their home debut. Offensively, Grand View was led by juniors Kelsey Redmond (Iowa Falls, Iowa) and Meagan Miller (Floyd, Iowa) with 14 and 12 kills, respectively. Sophomore setter Trystin Luneckas (West Branch, Iowa) had 30 assists while junior Jordyn Rittman had a team-high 17 digs.

Grand View (4-4, 1-0) will play in the Bellevue Tournament this weekend in Bellevue, Nebraska. Their first game is Friday (Sept 1) against No. 15 Doane University (Neb.) at 11 a.m.

The Vikings return to their home court to continue Heart play next Tuesday (Sept 5) as they host Culver-Stockton College. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Charles S. Johnson Wellness Center.
