Kansas City, Kansas – The defending champion Grand View Men's Golf team was rated No. 4 in two separate preseason polls this week.

In the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches' Poll, which allows all member coaches to vote, the Vikings claimed 263 points and three first-place votes. Oklahoma City received the No. 1 ranking while claiming 283 points and six first-place votes. Other Heart teams that received recognition were Mount Mercy (No. 24) and Missouri Valley (RV). Complete rankings can be seen below. The next Bushnell Poll will be released September 29th.

In the NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Poll, which is voted on by a panel of head coaches representing each athletic conference, Grand View claimed 408 points and five first-place votes. Oklahoma City once again claimed the No. 1 ranking by garnering 459 points and 11 first-place votes. Mount Mercy (No. 18), who received a slightly higher ranking, and Missouri Valley (RV) were once again the only other Heart teams to appear on the list. Complete rankings can be seen below. The next NAIA Coaches' Poll will be released September 28th.

The Vikings return two members of their National Championship team: All-American Mitch Pfingsten (SR/Fairmont, Minnesota) and Devon Woody (SO/Reasonor, Iowa). Pfingsten was a model of consistency for Grand View posted the sixth-lowest score at the National Championship last season.
