Des Moines, Iowa - Grand View competitive dance and head coach Stacie Horton are honored to announce the addition of five new members in 2017-18.

Kelsey Wren is the daughter of Janis Wren. Wren is a one-year letter winner from Cedar Falls High School where she was under the coaching of Alyssa Nolle. During her time at Cedar Falls High School Wren was part of a team who earned 2nd place in CoEd and 4th place in Class 8 Hip Hop at the ISDTA Championships.  She excels outside the dance room as well, earning three years on the honor roll. Wren intends to study elementary education while attending Grand View. 

     

 


Mikayla Clary is the daughter of Jodi Clary. She comes to Grand View from Pleasantville High School where she was a four-year letter winner under the coaching of Lois Turnage. Clary was a state solo trophy winner three years, All-Iowa Honor Dance Team for three years, part of State Team competition for four years and was a member of a dance studio for seven years. Off the dance floor, Clary was a member of the National Honor Society, an Academic Letter winner for two years, in the top half of her graduating class and the student council president. Clary plans to study nursing while attending Grand View. 

     

Lexi Weeks is the daughter of Matt and Felicia Weeks. She is a four-year varsity letter winner from Winterset High School where she was under the coaching of Dana Harper. Weeks was the dance team captain her senior year. She also earned many honors while at Winterset including All-State two years, most improved, most valuable and the team "Glue" Award. Weeks was part of 9 state championships, 2 national titles, 1 regional title and 1 national runner-up title. Her performance shows in the classroom as well where she was on the honor roll for four years and earned Y-Teen honors. 


Haley Peiffer is the daughter of Stacy Peiffer. She is a three-year letter winner from Ankeny High School where she was under the coaching of Kayla Meyer. Peiffer competed in State Solos Division I. She excels off the dance floor, earning the Principal's Academic Excellence Award along with being a member of the National Honor Society. During her time at Grand View, Peiffer plans to study kinesiology. 

      

Emma Taylor is the daughter of Lauren Youngs. She is a Lamoni High School graduate that comes to Grand View from Living Art Dance Studio where she was under the coaching of Jillian Ford. Taylor was on the honor roll in the 2015-16 school year along with the 2016-17 school year. She plans to study communications and psychology while attending Grand View.
