KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2017 NAIA Men's Golf All-America teams, as selected by the NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Association All-America Committee. A total of 45 student-athletes were honored, with 15 individuals being named to each of the three teams. Brothers, Mitch Pfingsten (JR/Fairmont, Minnesota) and Myles Pfingsten (SR/Fairmont, Minnesota) earned second-team honors following their 2017 performances. The brothers were the leaders in the Vikings 2017 NAIA Men's Golf National Title scoring 295 and 292 respectively.

Mitch claimed four individual tournament titles including the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship on May 1-2. He had a total of seven top 10 finishes in the season.

While Myles never claimed an individual tournament title, he consistently produced strong results in some of the biggest tournaments including a third place finished at the NAIA National Championship. Myles recorded the lowest score in the whole tournament on day three with a score of 67 and also shot a 70 on day four to help lead the Vikings to the National title.

"I'm really proud of the way Myles and Mitch performed all year and especially during our postseason run," said Head Coach Chris Winkel. "Obviously it takes a team effort to win a National Championship and I'm proud of all of our guys, but without their leadership, within our program and their performance on the course, this wouldn't have been possible.  For them to have this kind of success together is truly something special."
