GULF SHORES, Ala. – (Results) Grand View track and filed had four athletes compete in two events at the second day of the 2017 NAIA Men's & Women's Track and Field National Championships. Freshmen Dimetrea Hamilton (FR/Des Moines, Iowa) competed in the 100m hurdles and Clay Siefken, Taylor Mitchell, and sophomore Jacob Goeller competed in discus.

Hamilton broke the school recorded, recording at personal record of 14.53 in the prelims placing 18th.

In men's discus, Goeller was the top finisher for Grand View placing 12th in finals with a mark of 48.19m. Mitchell threw 46.76m placing 18th and Siefken placed 25th with a mark of 45.12m.

Defending women's discus national champion, Taylor Wells (SR/Des Moines, Iowa), will compete tomorrow at 2pm.
