OSKALOOSA, Iowa -  Two Vikings earned Heart All-Conference honors in conjunction with the 2017 Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship at Edmundson Golf Course. Grand View's Kimberly Nelson and Maria Mantilla both were named to the 2017 All-Confernce team.

William Penn claimed the two top individual honors. Elise Warne was named the Player of the Year, while Nik Rule was chosen the Coach of the Year. William Penn claimed nine of the 15 spots on the team, while Grand View and Peru State had two each.

Kimberly Nelson (Malaysia) eagled the 18th hole to claim a one-shot victory and earn individual medalist honors at the Championship, shooting a two round total of eight over par, 150. Nelson entered the final 18 holes trailing leader Helene Larsen of William Penn by two strokes. With one hole remaining in the final group, Nelson sat one shot behind Larsen on the par 5, 470-yard 18th hole. The Grand View sophomore recorded just the second eagle in the tournament to finish her round at 77, while Larsen carded a double bogey to see the one-shot lead flip to Nelson. Maria Mantilla (Bogota, Colombia) took 5th overall shooting a two round total of 154.

Nelson will join William Penn as automatic qualifiers for the 2017 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, May 23-26 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
