2017 Heart Baseball Tournament Delayed to Thursday

SPRINGFIELD – The 2017 Heart of America Baseball Tournament will wait for the impending weather to pass through Wednesday as the tournament will now start Thursday, May 4.

The entire schedule will move back a day with games now being played on Sunday, May 7. The Championship will still be played Monday, May 8 at 1 p.m. with the if necessary game on Tuesday. Thursday's games get underway at 10 a.m. with Evangel taking on Culver-Stockton and followed by Avila matching up with Graceland. Tournament action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will start at 10 a.m. each day with games also at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and the nightcap at 7 p.m.

All tournament action will be played US Baseball Park in Ozark, Missouri. Gates open each morning at 9 a.m. as tickets are $5.

The tournament champion and runner-up will earn the league's two automatic bids to one of the nine NAIA Opening Rounds across the country.
