Des Moines, Iowa - The Grand View Baseball team split in two home games against Baker University falling 13-9 in the first game and defeating the Wildcats 10-3 in game two. The Vikings are now 22-17 overall and 13-9 in the Heart.

Grand View lost game one, 13-9, after giving Baker an early lead.  Zack Hamilton (FR/Pleasant Hill, Iowa) pitched a strong 4.1 innings of relief giving up three earned runs on six hits, while striking out four.  The Vikings were led at the plate by Jake Miller (SR/Prior Lake, Minnesota) who went 2-3 with a home-run and 4RBI, Ryan Curtis (SR/Altoona, Iowa) who went 2-4 with 2RBI and Damon Nuss (JR/Sumner, Iowa) who went 3-5.

In the second game, the Vikings won 10-3 after Brandon Mazur (SR/Woodbury, Minnesota) threw a complete game.  Mazur got the win giving up three earned runs on just five hits and struck out eight batters.  Grand View was led at the plate by six batters who all had a multi-hit game: Michael Foggia (SR/Grimes, Iowa), Curtis, Nuss, Miller, Dustin Nelson (JR/Mondovi, Wisconsin), and Hunter Embray (JR/Knoxville, Iowa).  Miller (3RBI), Jack Haller (JR/Urbandale, Iowa) (RBI), and Embray (RBI) all hit home-runs.

The Vikings next games will be Wednesday, April 19th, at Central Methodist University.  The double header's first game will start at 3pm with game two to follow.
