Des Moines, Iowa - The Grand View women's soccer program is pleased to announce the addition of Alli Rupert, daughter of Mike and Vicki Rupert to the 2017-18 roster. Rupert was a three year center midfielder varsity letter winner for South East Polk High School where she was coached under Chris Roberts.

Rupert was a multi-sport athlete competing in soccer, rugby, cross country and track.

To go along with lettering three years, she has achieved many different honors both academically and in athletics. Rupert received honorable mention during her sophomore soccer season. In rugby she was the 2015 Iowa Youth Rugby Association State Tournament MVP, Back Player MVP on high school team, and selected into the USA girls high school all American pool. Alli's academic honors consisted of being in the top 10% of her class and was regonized at the Bill Burch Honors Breakfast. Rupert received the Lamp of Knowledge 2 years in a row as well. She also earned an academic and varsity letter in cross country and received honorable mention on the National Spanish Exam.

Head coach Ventsi Stoimirov is excited about Rupert's commitment, "I am excited to welcome Alli as member of our program this fall. Alli is a tremendous athlete and very good soccer player who will add strong physical presents to our midfield. Alli has faced some setbacks due to injuries, but has shown the resilience and passion to play the game we look for in our athletes. She has the vision to make good decisions on the field, the physical ability to tackle opponents off the ball, and the skill to take players 1 vs. 1 and connect quality passes with her teammates. I believe Alli will make successful transition to playing college soccer and we are looking forward to further develop her potential as player."

Rupert plans to study Pre-med: Biochemistry while she attends Grand View.
