Des Moines, Iowa- The Vikings baseball team split a two-game series against Graceland University.  Grand View is now 10-6 in the Heart and 19-14 overall.   

Grand View lost 5-6 in game one after a five run top of the sixth inning for Graceland.  Eric Winter (JR/Oakdale, Minnesota) got the start for the Vikings lasting 5.0 strong innings while only giving up one earned run on four hits and recording six strikeouts.  The Vikings were led at the plate by Damon Nuss (JR/Sumner, Iowa) who went 3-3, Jack Haller (JR/Urbandale, Iowa) who went 2-3 with 2RBI, and Ryan Curtis (SR/Altoona, Iowa) who went 2-4. 

In the second game, the Vikings beat Graceland 4-2 after Jake Miller (SR/Prior Lake, Minnesota) and Cody Cline (FR/Fall Creek, Wisconsin ) drive in two key runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.  Hunter McIntosh (SO/Mitchellville, Iowa) recorded the win after pitching a strong 6.0 innings, giving up two earned runs on two hits while striking out five batters.  Austin Marchant (JR/Indianola, Iowa) recorded his ninth save of the year after taking over in the top of the seventh inning.  The Vikings were led at the plate by Miller who went 2-3 with an RBI, and by Nick Yan (JR/Woodbury, Minnesota) and Haller who both went 1-2.
