Myles Pfingsten, Mitch Pfingsten and Hunter Van Veen were top finishers for the Vikings.

The 22nd ranked Grand View Vikings men's golfers recently competed in the Wildcat Cup held at Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis, Indiana this past Monday and Tuesday where they finished runner up out of 12 teams.

Grand View's two round team total of 601 was 12 strokes behind winner #15 Taylor University (Ind.) who posted a 589 total score. Bellevue University (NE.) rounded out the top three finishing six strokes behind the Vikings with a 607 total score.

As individuals the Vikings were led by Myles Pfingsten (Fairmont, Minn.) who finished tied for 5th with a 147 total after rounds of 72 and 75 which left him +3 on the tournament. His brother Mitch Pfingsten (Fairmont, Minn.) and Hunter Van Veen (Monroe, Iowa) each finished tied for 11th with two round totals of 150 a piece and six over par.

Drew Slings (Ankeny, Iowa) and Devon Woody (Reasonor, Iowa) each finished tied for 48th place as they each shot a 159.

Grand View will take to the course again May 1-2 as they compete in the Heart of America Conference Championship hosted by Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.
