Waukee High School senior guard Drew Johnson has signed to continue his career at Grand View University.

Senior combo guard Drew Johnson of Waukee High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Grand View Vikings men's basketball team for the 2017-2018 season.

Johnson just completed an outstanding career at Waukee under the direction of head coach Justin Ohl. This past season Johnson was named a 1st Team All-Conference performer in the East Division of the Central Iowa Metro League (CIML) and was selected to the 2nd Team All CIML team as well. In addition, Johnson was named to the 1st Team All Substate by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) and was nominated to take part in the IBCA All Star game.

Johnson, a multisport athlete, was also the starting quarterback for Waukee in the fall and was named 1st Team All District for his efforts. Drew is the son of Jeff and Kari Johnson and intends to study Business or Sports Management at Grand View.
