Myles Pfingsten led the way for the Vikings as they finished 11th place at the NAIA Golfweek tournament.

The 15th ranked Grand View Vikings men's golf team recently competed in the NAIA Golfweek tournament held at Howe in the Hills in Orlando, Florida this past Saturday through Monday placing 11th out of 17 teams.

As a team the Vikings shot a three round total of 929 after rounds of 307, 304, and 318. #4 Keiser University (Fla.) won the event shooting a team total of 900. Receiving votes Webber International (Fla.) took 2nd place shooting a 902 as a team, while #6 Johnson and Wales (Fla.) and #3 Dalton State (Ga.) tied for 3rd place just one stroke behind Webber with each team shooting a 903.

Individually, the Vikings were paced by Myles Pfingsten (Fairmont, Minn.) who finished tied for 23rd place shooting a 229 after rounds of 75, 74, and 80. Hunter Van Veen (Monroe, Iowa) finished just a stroke behind Myles shooting a three day total of 230 after rounds of 80, 77, and 73 which finished him tied for 26th.

Mitch Pfingsten (Fairmont, Minn.) finished tied for 42nd shooting a total of 234 posting rounds of 76, 79, and 79. Devon Woody (Reasonor, Iowa) finished tied for 64th shooting a three round total of 239 while Dan Bredernitz (Mapleton, Ill.) finished in 82nd place shooting a 251 after three days.

The Vikings will next compete in the NAIA Brickyear Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana April 10 and 11. Check back with for a complete recap and follow the Vikings on social media for the most up to date information.
