KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Grand View players have been named NAIA Men's Volleyball National Players of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Tim Johnson (JR/Chicago, Illinois) was selected as Attacker of the Week, Steve Harvey (SR/St. Louis, Missouri)  was chosen as Defender of the Week and the Setter of the Week went to Felipe Rosa (JR/Sao Paulo, Brazil). These three were selected based on their performances from March 27 – April 2 and were chosen out of a pool of conference player of the week nominees. 

National Attacker of the Week
Tim Johnson, Grand View (Iowa)
6-2, Jr., OP, Chicago, Ill.                                

• In helping his Grand View team to the conference title, Johnson earned 14 kills total in two sweeps.
• Over then-No. 7 Clarke (Iowa), Johnson tallied his week-high of 11 kills with three digs in the 3-0 victory.
• Recorded five blocks and finished the week hitting .387.
• In the NAIA, Johnson ranks No. 17 in hitting percentage (.361).
• This is Johnson's first National Player of the Week honor.

National Defender of the Week
Steve Harvey, Grand View (Iowa)
5-6, Sr., L, St. Louis, Mo.   

• During two sweeps for his Vikings' team, Harvey totaled 19 digs.
• With the victories, Grand View earned its fourth-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.
• Over then-No. 7 Clarke (Iowa), Harvey earned his week-high 10 digs.
• Holds the No. 34 NAIA ranking in digs per set (1.9).
• This is Harvey's first National Player of the Week honor.

National Setter of the Week
Felipe Rosa, Grand View (Iowa)
6-9, Jr., S, San Paulo, Brazil                         

• Rosa also had a hand in leading Grand View to its fourth-straight conference championship, as he earned 31 assists in a 3-0 win over then-No. 7 Clarke (Iowa).
• In the sweep, Rosa also added four blocks and two digs to his stat line.
• Finished the week with a total attack percentage of .167.
• Ranks No. 7 in the NAIA in assists per set (10.3) and No. 15 in total assists (649).
• This is Rosa's second National Player of the Week honor (February 28).
