DES MOINES, Iowa - For the second-straight season, Grand View secured the Heart of America Athletic Conference regular season championship in men's volleyball after posting a 3-0 win over Clarke on Tuesday evening.

The Vikings (19-3, 9-0 Heart) improved their current winning streak to 11 matches thanks to 14 kills from Pedro Cardoso (SR/Sao Paulo, Brazil) and 11 from Tim Johnson (JR/Chicago, Illinois). The defense was led by Zakir Pasha (JR/Chicago, Illinois) with a pair of blocks, while Felipe Rosa (JR/Sao Paulo, Brazil) dished out 31 assists. 

The only three losses for the Vikings came from NCAA University of Hawaii and then No. 1 Park University. 

Grand View also earns the right to host the Heart Tournament, April 7-8 in the Charles S. Johnson Wellness Center. The Vikings will be the top seed in the tournament and receive a bye into the semifinal round. The first and semifinal rounds will be played on April 7 starting at 10 a.m., with the championship match scheduled for April 8 at 2:00 p.m.

The winner of the Heart Tournament will receive an automatic berth into the NAIA Men's Volleyball Invitational Tournament, April 19-22 at the Carl and Deloris Petty Sports and Recreation Complex on the campus of Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Mo.
